Our Artsy Daisy Card

We’ve been holding on to this waiting for the folder to come back into stock – and it has! So let’s share an arsty daisy card.

And how about this one?

This was so easy to do. And the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder isn’t the only folder you can do this with. I think it’s a version of St. Joseph’s Coat technique, but it’s done with brushes.

But that dark color isn’t Basic Black. It’s Secret Sea! And we’ve combined it with Crisp Canteloupe!

And the more I look at it, the more I love it! It just kind of grows on you….or at least I hope it does!

Crisp Cantelope
Daffodil Delite
Peaceful Pine
Pecan Pie
Secret Sea

Here are a few hints on making this card:

You can make the colorful layer any size you want.
- I think we made this 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
- We chose Very Vanilla but Whisper White will work too.
Emboss it with the 3D Sunflower Embossing Folder.
- We also used the same folder for the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Crisp Cantaloupe layer we attached to the same color card base.
Turn it over so that the flower are INDENTED.
Use your shading brush to apply colors of your choice in the open indentations.
Then drag a Secret Sea ink pad over the shaded areas so that you only color the raised areas.
