Birthday Card for a Brother

Do you make birthday cards for your family? For your friends? Do you need a birthday card for a brother?

That’s what Ann’s mission was on Tuesday. She had the card in her head but she wanted some input from our viewers on our weekly live stream.

It was a great day. Even our apprentice, Domino, behaved.

Here is what they came up with.

Now, Ann’s brother is grown. In fact, he has grandkids. Full grown and some in college. And a couple that are still in grade school and perhaps junior high.

That’s not the same kind of card that you make for a kid brother. But we’re hoping that he’ll like it.

It’s a great card for anyone who likes a minimalist look or a more modern look. Don’t you agree?

But I think it looks best when you can see the gold embossing on it.

One of Ann’s demonstrator friends did a presentation using this with the new Rounded Rectangle Punch at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Convention Ann attended in March. Ann might have missed this one, but she was so impressed by her friend Amy’s ideas that it went right on her Wish List.

We didn’t go down the fancy road for this. But there’s no law that says you can’t have gold on a masculine card. You can even have balloons on a card for someone well over 21.

I think you could give it to anyone. And I’d like it even more with a $50 bill in it!

Ann spent a little extra time and made a card from one of the new kits. We’ll put that in the shopping list too. I can’t wait to see what else she makes from the Serene Scenes Kit. It’s so fancy and just simple to make.
