When’s the last time you sent a handmade card to a friend just because? Maybe it’s time to send a friendly note card.

This one is easier to make than you might think. And isn’t it colorful?

Picking Colors on the Fly

Ann knew she was going to make this card with our local Stamp Club. She knew it would be on a Thick Basic White card base.

Then she stood in front of out card stock tower and picked some random colors that she thought would go together. Everyone had the exact same colors got to put theirs together in whatever order they liked.

You could use scraps for this, but because she was cutting for several people, she cut all the 1/4″ strips at the same time.

This is the order that Ann chose (though she liked Cindy’s better):

How She Made the Card

This card is really a lot easier than it looks. Just cut 1/4″ strips and attach them to a piece of copy paper cut the same size. She used 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ and used Seal to secure the strips.

Why Seal?

Well, Ann ran a strip across the length of the copy paper and was able to attach two strips.

Once everything is attached, run it through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with any shape. (We used a square from Stylish Shapes.) Just make sure that the shape doesn’t go all the way across the bars of colors.

Liquid Glue could gum up your dies and who wants that!
