Ann & my favorite huMAN delivered a graduation card to their favorite grandson this weekend. And what a whirlwind it was!

Graduation cards don’t have to be difficult, but it does help when you do a little research into the school colors. We were lucky with that. They’re red and black, one of Ann’s favorites! So she and my favorite huMAN even dressed in the school colors when they attended the commencement exercises!

Let Me Share a Secret

This was the whole reason that Ann purchased the new Party Alphabet Dies and Party Banners Dies. She knew that it would be a great idea to personalize & celebrate certain occasions.

And we haven’t even made a banner yet!

There are smaller size banners too. We thought these smaller ones would be perfect to make a money pocket inside.

Cardmaking Tips

Just be sure that you select a die big enough to put the money in AND have room for Tear & Tape around the edges.

The initials on the front are their grandson’s initials. He would pet me for hours when we were both young pups. Ann took the side of a Basic Black marker to lightly go around the edges of the parts where the two letters intersected. this helps them stand out from each other just a bit.

To make the whole card into the banner shape, Ann scored and folded a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Thick Basic White at 5-1/2″ and then placed it just inside the cutting edge of the flat top of the die. It cut through like butter and left the whole card the shape of a banner.
