Do you have friends who like wine?  Even if you don’t like wine, more everyone knows that wine DOES improve with age.

Much like Jack Russell Terriers.

But today, we’re not only using this set for the first time, we’re getting some pre-practice time with our new Stampin’ Up! alcohol markers they’re calling Stampin’ Blends.

Wine Birthday CardThese Stampin’ Blends have improved caps so that they stay tight and won’t evaporate.

Ann says it’s a science thing.  Alcohol evaporates fast so that means the markers will blend easily and dry fast.  But if you leave the cap off, the marker will dry out fast too.  So put the caps back on!

She said she liked using them on Shimmery White card stock better than the Whisper White that we used here.  They seemed to blend better on the Shimmery White card stock, but I like the way they turned out here as well.

I must bark that these markers make almost anyone look like a watercolor artist.

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink is the best ink to use.  It will work well with any alcohol based marker.  (The regular Stampin’ Write Markers are dye based.)  We used a regular Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the black line around the edge.

So these Stampin’ Blends which will be released soon.  We don’t know exactly when, but soon.

Today is the last day that Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators can pre-order the Stampin’ Blends.  Yep.  Demonstrators have it really good.  They can usually get stamps and stuff before the general public does.  Yep.  Love that.

In fact, you can include a set of these AND the Color Lifter as part of your Starter Kit when you join TODAY.  Otherwise you have to wait until they’re ready to release them.

And they ARE very cool!

But if you only want the stamp set, just scroll down for the supplies shopping list.  We used the Lots of Labels Framelits that don’t really match the stamp set, but we liked the way we could make it work.

And isn’t that what crafting is all about?  Mixing and matching things that don’t always go together?
