There are some very important birthdays this coming week or so.

The first one is just two days away.  They’ve been celebrating Jesus’ birthday for centuries.  Even people who don’t believe in Him celebrate it!

But in our family, we’ve got two young people who have birthdays this week too!  You saw Miss B’s birthday card in this post.  She’s a college student whose birthday is Wednesday.

Since we made her a sneak peek card, we’re doing the same for her younger brother who is becoming a teenager on New Years Day.

WOW!  So we played with some colors on this new set of stamps that will challenge your use of color.  How perfect to try it out on a new teenager!

Stampin’ Up! Cardmaking Tip

  • Start stamping this “cake” by building it up from the bottom.
  • It’s easy to stack them because the stamps are photopolymer and clear.
  • We stamped lots of candles to fill in the sides but you’ll notice that we only stamped 13 flames.
  • We only colored the 13 flames with Gold Wink of Stella so that they’ll shimmer.

What colors did we use?

  • Garden Green
  • Rose Red
  • Island Indigo
  • Pool Party

I love it because you don’t have to be exactly exact.

Remember not to work yourself up into a tizzy over the next few days.  Instead, celebrate the reason for the season and take time to enjoy each and every person you come in contact with.

Merry Christmas!

Keep looking in your mailbox next week for the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs in an almost plain brown envelope that I’m sending current shoppers.  It’s just way too good for you to miss!
