Do you ever start off to make one card and you end up making another?  We started off wanting to make 2 specific technique cards for our Master Stamper members, but I insisted that she make a masculine Valentine card for my favorite huMAN.

Ann & I share the same favorite color:  anything RED.  And not any red.  Has to be a blue red like Real Red or Cherry Cobbler.  But my favorite huMAN likes blue.

Color Coach to the rescue!  Maybe this isn’t a true blue, but we hope Tempting Turquoise will rock his world.  It’s a bright, fun Valentine that will take the chill out of the air.  But I think that he’ll still feel loved.

I designed the outside.

Blue Valentine Card

It has 1-1/4″ cut off the right side of the card front so Ann held it closed while I lined up the camera shot.  Those 3 tags fly off the front right edge just like I told her to do.  But we forgot to put any hearts on it!  Still, I think he’ll get the picture.

And Ann designed the unique inside.  You’d think that she’d get a heart up inside there, but nooooo!  BlueValentine-In

We had to cut the Whisper White paper the way we did because the greeting was wide.  We wanted to put those banner ends on the ends but it would’ve peeked out of the front.  Geometric shapes are trendy right now so we’ll say that was our intention if anyone asks.  Actually, Ann insisted that she wanted that exact greeting on the inside from the Love You to the Moon stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  (We’re going to make a special note one day soon with that Love Note stamp in that set.)

The funny thing is that we made SEVERAL Valentine cards with him in mind before last night.  They’re just on display so I don’t think that’s quite the same.

What are you doing for your Valentine today?  Do you think that stamps are in your future?  Stamping is one of the best ways to ward off cabin fever, but that discussion is for another day.

Here’s some of what we used on his card.
