Ann was going to spill it all on Tuesday when she shared this Christmas in July foiled card. But I think she did leave out one tip and I’m not sure I should share it with you.

But first, let me share this easy to make Christmas card that she featured on the live stream.

She liked it so much that they made it with our local stamp club. I think it will be a great card to make for Christmas. Easy and impressive. That’s just the way I like it.

When do you start on your Christmas cards?

Some people make a few all year round. That’s a great idea. You don’t get tired of them and you have a great variety to send.

In fact, Ann’s early version of this is similar, but slightly different. She made the poinsettia flatter to make them mail easier.

Notice the difference? If you saw them side by side, you would:

  • The first card had the greeting die cut and popped up because the leaves were in the corner. Either way works.
  • The second card the flower is glued to the card and between the layers.
  • On the first card, but bottom layer is attached with a Dimensional and the layers are attached with rolled up glue dots.
  • The second card has gold foil die cuts in the center of the flower.
  • We lost one during the show so Ann used a Flower Accent in the flower center.

I think I like the poppued up version better. I believe they’ll both make it through the mail with one stamp. (Sorry that this picture is darker.)

You can watch the replay here. Ann will also share tips she’s learned about using the Stampin’ Hot Foil Machine recently. They’ll even give you a free class when you buy it now. In fact, this card was inspired by a card she saw in that class.

In fact, there’s a Pretty Poinsettia Class you can purchase in our online store to learn how to make cards with the bundle at your own pace.
