Sometimes it doesn’t matter how you package a gift.  But it probably matters more than you think.

If someone bought you a car or a big king sized bed, it probably wouldn’t matter if it wasn’t wrapped up like a present.  But if it WERE wrapped up like a present, you’d probably want a pretty nice ribbon to make that bow.

(Like that curling ribbon that Ann’s mom used to use just wouldn’t look right on a shiny new Lexus.)

So, instead of a card on our 40 Day Challenge, Ann took some little chocolate Hershey’s hearts that were here from last month and packaged them up to put in my favorite huMAN’s lunch box.

And the bags just happen to be on sale this week!

Bag

I think the ribbon was appropriate, but how do you keep it all together?  Well, here’s the secret.

We put a couple Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the heart and slipped it under the bow after we tied it.

But BEFORE we tied it, Ann took about 22″ of ribbon and laid it around the bag.  Then she took the new little Handheld Stapler that Stampin’ Up! carries and stapled through the bag and just the front ribbon a bit to the right of the center.

Bag-How

The staple had already been colored with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities so you can hardly see it.  (The Blendabilities are temporarily discontinued.)  But when Ann tied the bow, the staple was covered anyway – even after trimming the ribbon ends.
