When you’re making a special card for someone extra special, where do you start?

The FIRST thing to think about is the type of card that you’re sending, right?  Is it an anniversary card?  A birthday card?  A get well card?

And from there, you can start with anything!   Sometimes we start with a new Stampin’ Up! stamp set that we want to use.  Other times, it’s some Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper that starts us off.

When we start a card for my favorite huMAN, we start it off with the color blue.  Blue is his favorite color no matter which blue it is.  He’s been liking Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz combo lately.

So today’s card started with Pool Party.  Then we started looking for a stamp set and once we found the Countless Sayings 2 photo-polymer stamp set, everything else went out the window.  You see, Countless Sayings 1 is more about love, but once we saw the You & Me, we just had to put it together!  Ampersands are hot right now!  That’s what they call the & sign.

We were going to stamp it lightly all over the background, but instead, we laid the clear block onto the Grid Paper and she easily lined up the stamps.

Clear Block

(She would’ve put it on a cleaner block if she knew I was going to have her take a picture.)  The leftover ink was still on the stamps so that you could see them.  Otherwise, they’re clear.  I can’t believe that she was able to stamp this without a Stamp-A-MaJig!  They just fit!

So here’s the card we made for my favorite huMAN for putting up with Ann for so many years.  They got married the 4th month, the 4th day at 4 o’clock.  That’s today, folks!

AnniversaryCardAnniversary Card-2

We put both pictures up here so that you could see where we embossed the word “Forever” in silver onto Silver Foil Sheet.

Then she punched it out with the Word Window Punch and cut the end off.

Just click on either picture to see them up close and personal like I normally share them.

Here’s what else we used.  We show you all these pictures just in case you’d like to stock up for your own special someone.
