Anna Post said that a written thank you was not necessary when you open a gift in front of the giver. BUT readers of one of Ann's favorite magazines say differently! Real Simple Magazine held an Etiquette Survey. 59.7% of the readers surveyed said "of course! Every gift deserves a note!"
I agree with the readers. There's nothing like a handmade card to really make someone feel appreciated. What do YOU think? Feel free to comment below.
Imagine how special Ann felt when she received this cool card from someone at Stampin' Up!. She helped the sender with a soon to be published article about her experience at the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Retreat in September. I can't read the next Stampin' Success to find out what she said!
Today is the last day that you can take advantage of the 3rd Deal of the Week. Make your order online & get a reusable handmade card from Ann that you can use to bless someone else.

NOTE: Anna Post is great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post & spokesperson for the Emily Post Institute. She DID say in the article that baby & bridal shower gifts still do need a personal thank you note "since the flurry of activity at those events may not allow for a proper acknowledgement of every gift giver". Just thought you'd like to know.
I definitely think a thank you note is needed for every gift whether or not it was opened in front of the giver! My mom drilled it into me, and I hope I’m doing the same for my kids. They have to write thank you notes for all their birthday and Christmas gifts (and anything else that may come along in between). They even stamp their own most of the time! 🙂
Hugs to you and Cecil and Ann! Make sure Cecil is taking it easy!
